Data Cleanse and Imaging Services

Cleaning data after a data analysis

Putting data right, once you have found out there are issues, can be a daunting task. A key output from the data analysis is the 'data cleanse' schedule ITM produces to plan and manage the capture of missing data, rectification of incorrect data and validation of correct member benefit entitlements.

Our Data Cleanse services can incorporate a back to paper file imaging exercise which enables the scanning and indexing of key data items and even recalculating and validating benefits against core historic data. Validated data items can then be uploaded back to your administration system.

We recommend that a cleanse project should only be undertaken when all issues are known and how all the issues interrelate has been worked out. We feel this can only happen after a thorough data analysis has been completed.

The benefits of cleansing pension scheme membership data

Correct and clean data will result in greater security in quoting and paying accurate pension entitlements to members, a more accurate actuarial valuation and asset/liability allocation, SLA's being more easily met, reduced administration and actuarial costs.

ITM will recommend the best method of data cleansing which might be totally automated or a mixture of automated and manual cleansing.

ITM Data Cleanse Report

Each analysis highlights areas of concern which can be cleansed. The system highlights important areas in Red, Amber and Green (RAG) status'.

The user normally investigates the issues and confirms the reasons behind the problem.

Data Cleanse Management

The cleanse plan enables corrective work to be assessed, to plan and mitigate risks and to decide on automated or manual solutions.

Data benchmarking

Before and after a data analysis and data cleanse exercise we are able to provide you with a benchmark of your data against an industry standard. The benchmark statistics cover both in-house and TPA providers and potentially across all systems.

The benchmark is populated from all types of schemes across the whole of the industry

The benchmark provides generic high level comparisons on a number of bases
